Mel and Mal's Fresh Fruit Salad

  • 2 large Golden Delicious Apples, cored, sliced and cut into chunks
  • 4 Clementines or Satsumas, peeled, de-pithed, broken into segments
  • 1/2 punnet of fresh Strawberries,hulled, halved and then quartered
  • The juice of 2 lemons

No frills, no flounces just serving up what Mother Nature gave us! There are no rules on this one - just use whatever is in season at the time.

Mel keeps a bowl of fresh fruit, all prepared and ready to eat, in an airtight container in the fridge, especially if she is trying to lose a few pounds - when she get the urge to nibble, she just dips into this fruit salad and the craving for chocolate disappears!

Serves : 4        Prep/Cooking Time : 10 mins

Tip : Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the finished fruit, especially when using apples or bananas as this stops them going brown



Just put all the ingredients into a serving bowl, squeeze over the lemon juice, give it a good mix and serve either alone or with fresh cream, creme fraiche, fat free natural youghurt, icecream, frozen yoghurt..........the list goes on!
