Mel and Mal's Porridgella

  • 1 cup whole or semi skimmed milk
  • 1/2 cup porridge oats
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of Nutella

Give yourself a healthy start to the morning! Porridge is an slow release food, great if you are on a diet as a bowlful will fill you up till lunchtime.

Add a swirl of Nutella to your porridge and you will get all goodness of hazelnuts as well as enhancing the flavours.

Serve with a few slices of banana to complete your tasty breakfast.

Serves : 1        Prep/Cooking Time : 10 minutes

Tip : If you want a richer taste and depth to the porridge, use half milk and half single cream.


Quick and Easy

In a milk pan, boil up the milk, then tip in the oats and a pinch of salt and mix well.

Pour the porridge into a serving bowl and taking a tablespoon of Nutella spread, swirl around.

Serve with sliced banana on the side.
